Transactions are automatically classified into spending categories (groceries, transport, dining, utilities, subscriptions, etc.) based on merchant enrichment data. Customers can override any categorisation, and the override is stored as a preference for that merchant going forward. Category totals feed the monthly spending summary and insight cards.
