Purpose¶
Govern the platform's obligations to submit accurate and timely credit information to credit reporting bureaus in NZ and AU, including obligations under the NZ Credit Reporting Privacy Code and AU Part IIIA of the Privacy Act 1988 (Comprehensive Credit Reporting).
Scope¶
All credit accounts and customers for whom the platform holds credit information that must be reported to licensed credit reporting bodies in NZ or AU.
Policy statements¶
The platform SHALL submit credit information to licensed credit reporting bodies in accordance with the schedules and formats required by each bureau. Submissions SHALL include all mandatory fields required under the NZ Credit Reporting Privacy Code and AU CCR regime.
Credit information submitted to bureaus SHALL be accurate and current. The platform SHALL update credit information within the timeframe required by the applicable credit reporting rules following any material change, including: account opening, default, payment arrangement, and account closure.
The platform SHALL maintain a process to investigate and correct credit information disputes. Disputes SHALL be acknowledged within one business day and resolved within the timeframe required by the applicable credit reporting rules.
The platform SHALL not submit credit default information without first notifying the customer and following the default notification process required by the applicable rules.
All bureau submissions SHALL be sourced from the governed credit data pipeline. Manual corrections to bureau submissions outside the governed pipeline SHALL be dual-approved and logged.
The platform SHALL retain records of all bureau submissions and dispute resolutions for a minimum of seven years.
The CCO SHALL report bureau submission accuracy rates and dispute volumes to the Board Risk Committee quarterly.
