Regulations: DTA Disclosure Standard¶
The NZ Deposit Takers Act 2023 Disclosure Standard requires every licensed deposit taker to provide a Key Information Summary (KIS) to customers before they enter into a deposit product agreement. The KIS is a standardised one-page document in RBNZ-prescribed format setting out the product's key features, fees, interest rates, and material conditions in plain language.
This policy sets the obligation for the platform to generate KIS documents for every deposit product and to enforce their delivery and acknowledgement before account activation. The KIS must be current at the time of delivery, version-controlled, and persistently accessible to the customer after opening.
The DTA Disclosure Standard is currently in Draft. Deploying institutions are expected to build to the known consultation paper requirements. This policy and the associated platform capability will be updated when the standard is finalised.
