Real-time electronic identity verification using a government-issued identity document (passport, driver's licence) and a biometric liveness selfie — no branch visit, no paper forms. MOD-009 submits the document image and biometric data to the DIA document verification service (NZ) or equivalent AU provider and receives a confidence score within seconds. Standard-risk customers with a passing score proceed to account opening automatically; customers requiring EDD are queued for enhanced review.
