Maintains real-time balances across all correspondent bank (nostro) accounts in each active settlement currency. When a nostro balance falls below the configured funding threshold, a funding instruction is raised automatically and cross-border payment instructions that would exceed the available balance are held until funding is confirmed. The treasury team has a live position dashboard showing intraday settlement flows and projected close-of-day positions across all corridors. Nostro positions feed into the LCR calculation (MOD-032) and intraday reconciliation (MOD-081).
